Louws Truss is a growing, locally owned company serving the Pacific Northwest for over 70 years. We manufacture roof and floor trusses for residential and commercial projects throughout Washington State and beyond. It is our passion to build an industry leading company where everyone wins. We are committed to doing the right thing, working hard together, being experts in our field and delivering for our customers. We are all in on these values and are seeking applicants that share our commitment of being great partners to our customers, community, vendors, and staff. We have an opening for a Truss Design Estimator at our Ferndale, WA location. A truss designer is a professional responsible for creating, analyzing, and designing trusses. Trusses are structural frameworks made of dimensional lumber arranged in triangles or other stable geometric configurations. These frameworks are used to support the floors and roofs of residential buildings, commercial buildings, or other structures, distributing weight and forces efficiently.
Truss designers typically use engineering principles, software tools, and their expertise to design trusses that meet specific structural requirements, considering factors like load-bearing capacities, material strength, durability, and safety standards. They may work closely with our account managers, architects, engineers, construction teams, and clients to ensure that the designed trusses meet all necessary specifications and regulations while fulfilling the project's needs.
